Happy almost June to you! Today is a very special day for me and many others. For 6 decades, Soldiers of “The Old Guard” (my old Army unit) placed American flags at the grave stones of service members buried at Arlington National Cemetery. (The following description and more information about “Flags In” can be found here.) It’s an absolute exhausting and unforgetable day. I’m so proud to be a part of this tradition.
For more than 60 years, the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) has honored America’s fallen heroes by placing American flags at gravesites for service members buried at both Arlington National Cemetery and the U.S. Soldiers’ and Airmen’s Home National Cemetery just prior to the Memorial Day weekend.
This tradition, known as “Flags in,” has been conducted annually since The Old Guard was designated as the Army’s official ceremonial unit in 1948. Every available soldier in the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment participates, placing small American flags at each headstone and at the bottom of each niche row.
Within four hours, the soldiers place flags in front of more than 228,000 headstones and at the bottom of about 7,000 niche rows in the cemetery’s Columbarium Courts and the Niche Wall.

Let’s remember all those who sacrificed their lives, their futures, and their dreams so that we may have them. ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
Sarah from Sadie Seasongoods shows us what true trash to treasure looks like with this cane style table top turned American flag cross stitch. Bravo, girl!

And finally, awesome old doors were turned into magnetic chalkboard awesomeness! Great job! Go check out Julie’s doors at Live From Julie’s House.

Hope you’re having a great week where ever you are! I just got back from my daughter-in-law’s baby shower. Don’t you just love baby showers? She’s having a girl and that sweet baby is going to be sooooo stylish!
I’m happy to be hosting this week because you guys never disappoint! I’ve picked out some great projects for you to check out. 🙂

Up With Furniture reminded me that I can get a wee bit more creative than just painting one color on a piece of furniture. Such a fun and cheery dresser!
Amy from High Style Restyle totally crushed it with this headboard turned bench! Love this color!
Carol from the Red Painted Cottage gives us a peek inside her tour of the famous Magnolia Market in Waco, Texas. Jealous doesn’t even begin to describe it…
Thanks to everyone that partied with us last week! We are thankful that you joined in!
I am so excited to be hosting the party this week! Last week was a little crazy for several of us (all various reasons) but on my end, the computer was not agreeing with me. AT. ALL. I told it to do something and it refused. The nerve.
So this week, we are on speaking terms again and all is ready for us to celebrate Your Inspired Designs! I love seeing what everyone is working on in their homes. Some days all I can accomplish is brushing my teeth and putting on flip flops before leaving the house and then I see what y’all are up to and it makes me want to fully renovate my home over the weekend.
If you are new here to McCall Manor or you have just simply been busy remodeling your home, here is what we have been up to around here.
Now let’s take a look at some of my favorite links from the last party, go check them out!

Kristi at Making it in the Mountains created this gorgeous chalk board for her home. This is on my to do list. Must. Have. One.
Sara at Twelve On Main made this tables from two reclaimed pieces. I love the hairpin legs and the roughed up wood. Way to go Sara!
Sherry at The Savvy Apron shared with us how she took this outdated bergere chair and turned it into something charming! The graphic on the back had me at hello!

It’s almost the end of March ~ boy, it’s going out like a lion here~ and the middle of Holy Week. I am happy to be your hostess this week for Your Inspired Design Link Party #28. The wonderful spring and Easter projects, home decor, and recipes from last week’s party were amazing. Our guests outdid themselves. Check out my favorite picks and visit this week’s guests.
I just had to go with the cutest Easter decorations as my favorites this week. Congratulations ladies for your creativity and ingenuity.

Paint Yourself A Smile
Jenny at Paint Yourself a Smile was devoted to creating her Easter/spring wreath. Carrots never looked so cute! Jenny’s front door wreath and Easter banner are so welcoming and one-of-a-kind. Thanks Jenny for joining our party.
Little Brags
Christine at Little Brags created a lovely front porch perfect for enjoying Easter bunnies and little chicks and springtime. I would love to relax there with a good book and a glass of sweet iced tea. I love the polka dot pillows, the wooden box with chicks and eggs, and the potted plants.
Ilka’s Blog
Ilka at Ilka’s Blog shares the prettiest spring wreath in sweet pastels. This wreath is easy to produce and it just made me happy to look at it. Tissue paper never looked so good. I love the colors.
Happy Easter all!

Thanks so much to EVERYONE who linked up last week.
Now, let’s get this week’s party started. We can’t wait to see what you have been up to this week!
Hey you, may the luck of the Irish be with you today! Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! Are you wearing green? Green isn’t really my color so I’ll probably just stick a few strips of green and white washi tape onto my shirt. What?! It totally counts!
Alright, alright, alright. Another week, another massive collection of inspiration! Thanks again for linking up your gorgeous creations!
Kreativ K had me wishing I was in London with her shopping the streets full of treasures. I’m obsessed with everything she snapped a photo of and I’m certain I would have wanted to buy much more than the plane’s overhead storage could stow. Jump over to see London’s Portobello Road Market through Katrin’s eyes.
Am I the only one who gets surprised by holidays? Can you believe Easter is just around the corner? Luckily, we have sweet Antonella from White House Crafts sharing a great round up of Easter projects you can do with your kids.
And finally, I’m loving the stencil and stain look on furniture. Keri, the Repurposing Junkie shows us how easy it is to create a fresh, one-of-a-kind piece of furniture using a stencil, paint, and stain. Beautiful!
Thanks so much to EVERYONE who linked up last week.
