Ok, not a real horse but she’s beautiful and inspiring and lives inside my house. Am I the only girl who wished and prayed herself to sleep on Christmas Eve expecting to see a majestic horse in the front yard come Christmas morning?

Sure those were silly, farfetched dreams but they were always with me and still are in so many ways.

I’m no horse whisperer or anything but I feel a connection to horses.  They inspire me to be strong and carefree.  They remind me of what beauty is when the world seems so ugly.

I’ve been searching for just the right horse picture to go in my dining room-converted-craft room/office space.  I was in Home Goods when this beauty found its way into my heart.

This is a massive painting at almost 4 ft. x 4 ft.!  I’m telling you this horse-y is a beauty in real life!

Here she is above my craft desk.  You’ll notice we still haven’t affixed the top to the cabinets…maybe one day. 🙂 You’ll also notice I have two mismatch lamps.  With everything in my house, decor items do not come to me in pristine condition nor do they come to me when I want them to.  Both lamps were on clearance at different times and different places for $20 each (regularly $60 each).  So I’ll wait patiently to find a mate for the mercury style lamp.  Of course, it has to be on sale.

By the way I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted…sorry about that.  Here are a few things you missed.

1.  I cut my hair off.  Like 10 inches.  I had it colored just like Detective Olivia Benson’s hair from Law & Order: SUV.  Dun, Dun.

2.  I’m mentoring women on a weekly basis.  It’s been such a great experience!  If you’re interested in receiving mentoring get in touch with me.

3.  I’ve been making my back to school list and checking it twice.  Big Daddy and I move his youngest son into an apartment next weekend.  My guest bedroom is being overrun with Gatorade and instant Mac & Cheese.  I’m so excited for him and I hope his college experience is amazing.

4.  I’ve been doing crafty things, and organizing things, and scoring deals like a crazy lady.  I can’t wait to show them off!

Hey, leave me some comment love. K?

Love it! My seven year old daughter is nuts about horses and I recently scored a huge print from Hobby Lobby using my 40% off coupon for her room 🙂

Gorgeous!! I used to be a professional horse trainer, and I bought and sold horses on the side. One of my favorite memories was when we sold a horse to a man for his daughter. We delivered the horse to the barn at their house at 5 am on Christmas morning so that “Jake” would be there waiting in his new stall when she woke up. It was the sweetest thing and I was so happy to be a part of it!

Hi Darla! This is actually a common question and unfortunately without an answer. The picture I bought either didn’t come with the artist info or was never a part of the painting. I’ve actually been on the lookout for the painting here in Atlanta for other readers! It really is so beautiful. I will post asap when I do see another one again!
