Yesterday was incredibly beautiful and the air was cool just the way I like. I hope it was wonderful where you are!
Yesterday I had a TJ Maxx Attaxx. I haven’t been to TJ Maxx in a minute (Army talk for “awhile”) and I came out of there with a few awesome finds that I wanted to share.
Vintage Grain Sack
Alright, so mine may not be vintage but it’s a dead ringer for the vintage VaVaVaVoom that’s being upholstered onto great pieces of furniture.
Case in point. Miss Mustard Seed’s lovely and authentic grain sack upholstered chair.
Miss Mustard Seed has got it together on so many levels. There’s the Milk Paint that she created and uses to paint all her furniture. And her new book called Inspired You: Letting God Breathe New Life Into Your Heart and Home. Or the Orek commercial or the magazine features. She is an amazing woman of faith with design skills oozing out of every pore.
But she’s no celebrity. She’s a blogger just like me and maybe just like you. She just creates and shares, creates and shares. Simple. Love it.
The vintage grain sacks usually cost between $30-$60. Of course there are more expensive kinds but I don’t dare look at those. If you have the cash, you can buy them online via Etsy or Ebay.
However, if you’re looking to spend $3.99 on two vintage inspired grain sack towels then go see TJ.
Here are my lovelys.
I’m in love with the striped one. It’s the perfect texture. I saved a bunch of moo-lah when I snagged these kitchen towels from TJ Maxx and I think they’d be perfect if you’re digging the grain sack look. There were a few colors available. I think there were green, red, blue, and black. For a pack of two kitchen towels at $3.99 I bet you’ll want to buy more than one color.
P.S. I wasn’t compensated in any way for this post. I just love TJ Maxx and these towels! However, if a TJ Maxx representiative is reading this and would like to compensate me for future reviews, you should call me.
Question: Is the vintage grain sack cloth on your shopping list?
