Even though this holiday is filled with coupons, sales, and discounts, all of which I love, today has more meaning for me.  Today I received this on my Facebook wall

You showed me there are bigger things in this world. From the bus ride from Atlanta through basic and AIT, you stood beside me and helped me through one of the toughest 5 months of my life. You’re an amazing woman, Happy Veterans Day!

Now that’s something that means so much more.  Because I remember the fear of the unknown, the doubt in our ability to try one more time, the swell of pride from a job well done.  I think of all of this and I have immense gratitude for the moments, memories, and heros who are still out there serving.

I couldn’t resist a photo montage of my Army life.

A big hug to all of my brothers and sisters in uniform.
