Well guys I have good news and bad news.

The bad news is when Big Daddy and I went to meet Scoop on Saturday we ended up not adopting her. I think cats or kittens in this case are just as particular about who they spend their time with as humans are.

It was sort of like a blind date that didn’t go very well. No chemistry.

Even though she was really cute and super sweet, it was painfully obvious that Scoop just wasn’t our girl.

The good news is as soon as I walked in I knew that another little kitty would be purrfect. Sorry I couldn’t resist.

Her name was Sing and her itty bitty sister Song, had already been adopted. Sing was full of spunk as soon as we took her out of her cage. But the purring and kneading that she was doing every time we picked her up told us that this date was going well.

The other good news is Scoop had other parents on a waiting list ready to adopt her.

Meet Baby Kitty (for real yo)

It’s been a rough ride so far. Baby Sofia who is about 60 years old in people years has been hissing up a storm. We have the two in separate spaces and have been doing our best to introduce them “by the book” but it’s hard to be patient.

Kitty is incredibly loving and wants only to be near Big Daddy and I. She loves to snuggle as close to our necks as possible and she loves to knead. Anything. Especially the face.

Aside from a nasty upper respiratory infection, Kitty is in good health. However, the adventures of Kitty have already begun. In fact, we’ve had one near accidental drowning via the toilet bowl. Bad Big Daddy.

Big Daddy and I have had a difficult time deciding on what to name Kitty. We tossed out a few contenders and are stuck on a couple of choices. Maybe you have an opinion?

So in the spirit of the Presidential election let’s take a vote.

Kitty Name Contenders

1. Little Bit

2. Sing Song

3. Sasha

4. Alexandria or Ali for short

Big Daddy and I would love to know your vote!

Never mind the unflattering pictures of me, what do you think about Kitty?

Thanks Karianne! Today she laid in my arms like a baby and fell asleep. I’ve never known cats to stay in a vulnerable position like that! She’s too cute 🙂

      I like Little Bit too…shhh!

Just found your blog… what fun! Your kitten is the same color as a Russian Blue… so my vote is for Alexandria or Sasha (did you know in Russia, Sasha is the diminutive for Alexander/Alexandria?).
