Did you know I blew onto the bloggy scene on May 14, 2012 with this hurricane hack and I’ve learned some things about blogging that I thought I’d share with you!

With just about a week before my 3 month bloggy anniversary I’ve reached some pretty cool milestones. I’ve seen my pageviews per day grow from 10 to over 200 on a good day :). I’ve been shocked that over 4,500 visitors have peeked at my posts nearly 16,000 times! Wow. I swore up and down that no one and I mean NO ONE would read my blog but as you can tell I was wrong. Alright, Big Daddy you can say it, you told me so.

Thank you to everyone whose supporting me, particularly Big Daddy, through your emails, comments, and compliments. It just feels good.

As I navigate my way through the world of projects, Pinterest, and peaceful healing I hope that what I share is helpful to you in some way.

Several weeks ago I found myself thinking non-stop about crafty things. It was getting so bad that I swear I was counting Pins instead of sheep…

I realized that all of the things I had wanted to do and make were being stored in my brain like a car impound lot. With each new blog post I read or Pin I re-pinned I added another project that had to find a way to fit into my brain.

I ran out of space.

I needed to write it out and write it down.

Like so many bloggers before me, I knew I needed a system. So, I created a weekly Blog/Project Planner and Blog or Bust Checklist.

Feel free to use these for yourself! And since this is the first draft I’d love for you to comment on what other types of planning tools would be helpful for you and I’ll see what I can whip up! I’ll also be showing you how to effectively use these tools in a later post. In the meantime, enjoy!

This is a cool idea. I just use a corner of my kitchen whiteboard for what needs doing online and my ideas chalkboard in the craft room for the crafty to do list.

Thanks Ruth! I plan on making a whole notebook system so I can take it with me to Home Depot, fleas, garage sales, etc. Hope it helps!

Wow! Thank you so much for sharing these! I was just having an anxiety attack this morning when I tried to consolidate the “blog “to-do” lists I’ve been making on various pieces of paper, notes on my phone and sending emails to myself. Can’t wait to try out your system – I can tell already that it will help!

    xoxo,

I did not realize you were such a new blogger…I am too I started end of Sept 2011. I am totally addicted!! And yes I actually have dreams of projects I come up with. The painted wedges for example, I woke up at 3am to write it down and it was a success. So I guess I am on the right path. Glad you are doing so well! Love these printables. I use Excel to chart my linky parties, for whom I have linked up to and what. Maybe you could make one similar to print!
