I’ve never particularly cared for red cars. I’ve despised red walls in the dining room. I’ve passed over the red nail polish dozens of times.

In fact, when I asked you guys for advice on my $4 thrift store chandelier in this post I didn’t even give red a shout out. I was favoring yellow or blue. Blue, what a surprise.

That was in July and 8 months later I made my decision.

I was standing in the spray paint aisle when I spotted this…

And after a few minutes 8 months and a few minutes of consideration, I threw this red devil into my cart.

What do you think? I actually love it. I love it so much I’m going for a little more red in my kitchen. I was thinking about using this fabric to cover the chair cushions.

But then I was at Hobby Lobby and spotted this fabric…

It has pink, red, white, and grey in a modern ikat design. So now I’m considering this as the curtain for the bay window. I love both fabrics so much! I’m just a bit undecided with how I’d hang curtains in this area. The ceiling is super close to the bay window molding and it opens up to the family room where I was thinking of using more navy blue.

This is when I wish I was a designer.

Decisions, decisions.

What do you think I should do? Oh and I’d like to make a decision before July. 🙂

Thanks! I hope it doesn’t end up being the “regrettable red”…I just can’t shake my love of blue 🙂

So cute! I like red, but prefer it in small doses, as a pop of color. I love the chandelier and the fabrics are great too!

The red really pops! How about switching the fabrics around, using the second one on the chairs, and the top one in the curtains? I think having the gray on the chairs wouldn’t be as noticeable from your living room. Thanks for linking up to What We Accomplished Wednesdays. Have a lovely week!
